Hello, this is Murphy!

If you already have a bachelor’s degree, you can transfer to the third year, and after completing the two-year curriculum,

you will earn a Canadian bachelor’s degree.

In the third year, you’ll study professional theories, and in the final semester of the fourth year,

you can gain practical experience through a one-year paid internship program.

Additionally, students can save on tuition fees, making this program more economical and reasonable compared to others

However, there is one thing we are concerned about the requirements for transferring to the Agribusiness program at Olds College.

Applicants who have a background in fields such as agronomy, agriculture, biotech engineering, food and nutrition,

and others are eligible to apply for the transfer.

Since the program is focused on agri’business,'

we could think that applicants who have graduated in business administration, humanities, or related business fields should be able to fully follow the program.

In fact, many business graduates reached out to Murphy after learning about this department.

There were also non-majors working in management or those interested in agriculture,

but they expressed disappointment because there was no way for them to transfer into the program.

But!

The Agribusiness professors and admission officers fully understood our needs and have updated the requirements!

Here are the revised requirements

Regardless of the applicant’s major, if you have a professional bachelor’s degree or a degree of two years or more,

you can apply to the prgram of Agribusiness.

However, since this is a professional course and students are transferring into the third year of a bachelor's program,

which others have been following since the first year, students without related degrees or experience must submit a self-introduction letter (or a career description if applicable)to demonstrate their understanding of the department and their academic abilities.

Please don’t worry.

The self-introduction letter should be carefully tailored to the program, and Murphy will support you in writing it.

Another requirement is the English proficiency score.

The English requirements are as follows:

Duolingo: 110

TOEFL: 80

IELTS (Academic): 6.0

PTE: 55

Additionally, Olds College is located in Olds, Albertawhich is part of the Rural Renewal Stream (RRS)a rural program in Alberta

This makes the area an increasingly attractive option for many.

After understanding the nature of the city, you’ll be able to settle in shortly after graduating from Olds College.

Olds College is Canada's leading agricultural school, and Alberta is the largest agricultural producer in Canada.

Don’t forget?you're going to become an expert in agriculture!
