특히나 오늘 배울 Coordinators, Subordinators 그리고Transition Words 

한쿡말로 등위 접속사, 종속 접속사 그리고 전환어들

정말 정말 중요합니다! 작문을 하면서 빠질 수 없는 이 녀석(?)들을 알아보도록 해요!

먼저 Coordinators는 문장들을 연결할 수 있고, 문장을 소개할 수 있습니다.

a. Mary walked the dog, for it needed to lose weight.

b. So it lost ten pounds after two weeks of walking.

Surbordinators는 문장들을 연결할 수 있고, 문장을 소개할 때는 반드시 완전한 문장에 종속되어 있어야 합니다.

a. Mary walked the dog, because it needed to lose weight.

b. Because it needed to lose weight, Mary walked the dog. 

Transition words 또는 phrase들은  coordinators 그리고 subordinator처럼 두 문장이 논리적인 관련이 있을 때 사용되는

접속사가 아니며,  문장 사이에는 반드시 semicolon (;)이나 period(.)를 사용해줘야 합니다.

 Transition words는 문장의 앞, 중간, 뒤 어느 자리에든 올 수 있습니다.

a. Mary tried to walk the dog; however, it didn't want to move.

b. Mary tried to walke the dog. However, it didn't want to move.

c. Mary tried to walk the dog. It didn't want to move,however.

d. Mary tried to walke the dog; it, however, didn't want to move.
